Jenny Hammar Photography bio picture

photographer jenny hammar

Eight years ago I made the decision to make the career change and become a photographer, and this has been one of the best and most defining moments in my life.

Everyday I wake up to a job that I love!

I photograph people (big and small) and places (near and far) as well as weddings, which has been a focus of mine for the past six years or so.

I hope you will enjoy this collection of photos that ties together my wedding photography with my portraits, travel and other work.

Design by Bettina

A dear friend of mine asked me to photograph her fabric designs for her portfolio and I thought I would post these shots. Bettina attends Beckmans College of Design and is such a talented artist! Click here for more information about her. Oh, and the gorgeous model is Livia Moore.

evelina

I had the opportunity to lead a workshop with a group of photo students at Kjesäter Folkhögskola (outside of Katrineholm) the other day. I gave them each a portrait assignment and was very impressed by the results. I gave Evelina the task of photographing me, and during our photos shoot I took a few shots...

Happy Birthday Lieselotte!

This past Saturday my glamorous friend and colleague Lieselotte and her husband Joost had their 40th birthday party, and it was such a blast! Lieselotte has a true party spirit and I love that about her (I think you can tell from the photo). Besides that, she is an excellent photographer and good friend. You...

Adorable Arvid

I photographed mom Ulrika and dad Peter’s wedding a few years ago, and was so happy to come and photograph their 10-week old son Arvid. These moments captured at this young age are truly priceless. Can you believe those little feet!

with a sparkle in her eye

Lotta, founder of the company “spontana” is an adventurous and energetic person. During our shoot I wanted to really capture her energy and spirit; she enjoys life and I think it shows. Like many shoots, it started with her telling me that she feels uncomfortable in front of the camera, but as you can see...

Something I remember a photo teacher I once had talked often about was the “Quality of Light”. In this shoot I had so much fun playing with the light, which truly is the most important factor when photographing. Sara’s beautiful body was such a joy to photograph, thank you for this amazing session!

Putte Nelsson

The other day I had the pleasure of photographing musician Putte Nelsson for the newspaper given out by Erikshjälpen, a wonderful non-for-profit organization. We have seen Putte on TV, and this is an incredibly talented guy! Still he was so humble and sweet. during our shoot, so he has a new fan in me. To...

Two wonderful boys

Yesterday I photographed a very sweet family at their home on Lidingö. Antonia and Hampus have two sons named Alex and Sebastian who were full of life. Often after photographing families with young children it can feel like I got a good work-out in and this was no exception. It can be challenging to get...

just a matter of days…

I have had a wave of pregnancy shoots lately. These shots of Johanna were taken just 2 days before she gave birth to a little boy. We had such a great time photographing in her apartment, where she even had an adorable little craddle prepared for the baby. The light was amazing and she was...

Getting serious about blogging

It’s very much thanks to two colleagues, Erika and Mark, that I have this blog today. They have pushed me to “get with the program” and take blogging seriously, and I have now gone from being reluctant to extremely excited. So thank you guys!

A few days ago, Erika and I photographed eachother for our blogs/websites...
