Jenny Hammar Photography bio picture

photographer jenny hammar

Eight years ago I made the decision to make the career change and become a photographer, and this has been one of the best and most defining moments in my life.

Everyday I wake up to a job that I love!

I photograph people (big and small) and places (near and far) as well as weddings, which has been a focus of mine for the past six years or so.

I hope you will enjoy this collection of photos that ties together my wedding photography with my portraits, travel and other work.

Photo Shoot Starring August

This photos phoot was starring August and co-starring his parents Tobias and Julia. We had such a fun time playing in their apartment and then heading out to Vasaparken, right by where they live. What an adorable little family indeed.

In Love… In Haga

It’s interesting to see the couples I photograph interact with eachother. Som are super-stressed and have a hard time relaxing. Others joke and laugh, or are very nervous in front of the camera. What I loved about Anna-Karin and Micke was that they were so connected during our shoot. They had synergy. Once they stood...

Intimate wedding on a crisp autumn day

I love that Anna and Olle did their wedding day “their way”. They decided to have a very intimate gathering, just closest friends and family, and they also took every opportunity to be present. For example, after the ceremony they took a good chunk of time to ride around in a beautiful Rolls Royce, alone...

Behind the scenes with Erika Gerdemark

On October 24th, my dear friend, colleague and network partner helped me on a wedding shoot, and we had such a great time! I am so grateful for her constant support and inspiration. Here is a photo that I love of her, in action. Don’t forget to check out her blog as well, she is...

Little Saga

I photographed Saga’s parents’ wedding last summer. It was a beautiful event at Tyresö castle. Well, now about a year later I got to meet the new member of their family, Saga, who was 6 weeks old when I photographed her. Isn’t she sweet?

Alex and Bekkie’s Civil Ceremony in Ravello

In the gorgeous setting of Ravello, one of the most famous cities on the Amalfi coast in Italy, Bekkie and Alex were first married in a civil ceremony. This took place the day before their “official” wedding at Villa Cimbrone (click here for the sneak peek already published). After the civil service, we had a...

not so damn perfect

Today we can take perfect photos, perfectly in focus and then we can change colors and, well, pretty much anything in the image. Plus we can look at the photos right away. Back in the day, we took our photos on rolls of film and got to see the result first when they came back...

Ebba and Fredrik at Millesgården

It’s not always exciting being the last flower girl in a row of 4…

“My cheeks hurt from smiling so much!”, Fredrik said during our portrait session at Millesgården, following the wedding ceremony. And I can understand why because both Ebba and Fredrik were so incredibly happy and definitely all smiles (ok, a few tears during...
