This past fall I had the opportunity to practice my rusty Italian (in my “youth” I lived a year in Florence) when I photographed a travel reportage for RES, a Swedish travel magazine. The story is coming out in the next number and now that photos have been chosen I can blog a few of the photos that are not going to be in the story. Puglia is the part of Italy in the heel of the boot, if you know what I mean. I had never been there before and discovered an un-expoited part of this great country. The food was amazing, the people loved to be photographed (unlike Rome where they shy away from people like me putting a huge lens in front of their faces) and a magical kind of light. In these photos you will find sunrise light, sunset light and one inbetween.
