Jenny Hammar Photography bio picture

photographer jenny hammar

Eight years ago I made the decision to make the career change and become a photographer, and this has been one of the best and most defining moments in my life.

Everyday I wake up to a job that I love!

I photograph people (big and small) and places (near and far) as well as weddings, which has been a focus of mine for the past six years or so.

I hope you will enjoy this collection of photos that ties together my wedding photography with my portraits, travel and other work.

Last night I was invited by PFK (Pressfotografernas Klubb / Press Photographers’ Club)to show some photos and speak about my work. I chose to focus on my wedding photos and presented a slideshow of some of my favorite images. Afterwards there was a Q&A, I had so much fun! Here is a photo of a...

Food photography - tea and cookies with an old friend

A couple of weeks ago I ran into an old friend, Therésia. As we started catching up we realized that both of us were working in creative fields, which was not the case when we met back in 1997. Tear Sheets from my Travel Story on Puglia / Italy - RES

On news stands now you will find the latest number of RES, a travel magazine I freelance for. In this issue I have done a story about Puglia (a.k.a. Apulien), written by Peter Loewe. Having travelled so much to Rome in the past few years, I was so relieved to visit this unexploited area of...

wedding couple in winter wonderland, anders & maria part II

Anders and Maria were greats sports about going outside to take some photos despite the freezing cold temperatures of -15 degrees Celcius (5 degrees Farenheit)!!! So needless to say, we did not spend a whole lot of time outside, but we did capture a few shots on this beautiful winter day.

Magical winter light - anders & maria

Since winters here in Sweden are not know for being very “luminous”, you might think that I have photoshopped the light into these photos, but that is not the case. On January 30th, when I photographed Anders and Maria at the Butterfly House in Stockholm, it was a gorgeous day and the light was magical...

quick escape back to copenhagen

In August I was in Copenhagen shooting a wedding (click here to see the photos), and I was just looking through some photos I took of Copenhagen the following day. It was a gorgeous day and the city was so amazing. It made me miss summer and sunlight…

A dear friend of mine asked me to photograph her fabric designs for her portfolio and I thought I would post these shots. Bettina attends Beckmans College of Design and is such a talented artist! Click here for more information about her. Oh, and the gorgeous model is Livia Moore.
